Dave was born 4th December 1960, To Valerie and Thompson Clegg. To a family that already had four daughters, Dorothy, Rose-Marie, Margaret and Myself Kathleen. Early years were spent in Ayreshire Scotland, well until 1965 when mum and dad separated and mum moved to England. Near her Parents in Seaford, East Sussex. We (leslie, Maggie and I)had stayed with Aunt Nancy and Uncle George when mum first left, well until she had found a place for us all to be together again, In November 1965 we were told that we were going to join her in England and be re-united with our older sisters Dorothy and Rose-Marie who had already moved down. It was an exciting trip although nervous and sick most of the way, we met Mum at Gatwick airport with her friend Don, who was to prove to be the bain of our lives.
